Last week we held our first WordPress Training Seminar in Pompano Beach, Florida.  Just 2 short years ago this same training began in coffee shops around South Florida as an experiment to network, share and meet potential clients. Since then, our WordPress training has evolved from discussion and advice to developing and consulting.

The WordPress 101 Training Seminar ran from 10am to past 6pm in a comfortable office well suited for learning and discussion. The conversation and instruction ran through every element of the WordPress experience from an introduction to WordPress to wrapping out the day discussing video gallery plugins, the Google Keyword Tool, making SEO friendly websites and sharing resources to explore once the attendees returned home.

The training was great. Brett was excellent when it came to answering questions, explaining details in full, showing examples, and providing great resources as well as advice. I learned a lot.

Learning WordPress can be a complex process, even though it makes building a website ridiculously easy in comparison to what it used to be.  Having an instructor there is more valuable to the learning process than anything else.

When I first started using WordPress I kept hoping there was some resource nearby that could get me through several small obstacles I couldn’t overcome.  Once I started to breathe WordPress, I began teaching others what I’d learned. Turns out teaching WordPress helped me learn much more, much faster.

We have two WordPress Seminars scheduled in April. Tuesday April 17th and Wednesday April 18th. Day 1 is the WordPress 101 Training and Introduction while Day 2 will focus in on plugins, widgets, themes and more in depth discussion of building a WordPress website.
